Pedal Box - Part 1

I went for the adjustable pedal box. Arguably because the people likely to drive the car are of different heights - in reality the adjustable box looked good!

The parts as supplied from GD; assembled pedal box, Wilwood master cylinder set, microswitch and bracket for brake light.

Assembling the master cylinders was not too difficult. The pointers I picked up were:

  • The clutch threaded bar needed to be cut down to fit, the picture below shows the clutch master cylinder initially fitted with spacers, before being cut down.

  • The clutch clevis needs a little in the fork to be removed to stop it catching

  • The whole assembly is very heavy and so to spread the load I made a plate to go on the engine side of the bulk head.

  • I also made a template to work out where to fit and cut the bulkhead.


and finally assembled ready to fit.
